Australian OneWheel Trail Racing Championships - 2022
The Australian OneWheel Trail Racing Championships Are Here!
Australias biggest OneWheel trail racing event is on the horizon and we are so excited to see you all there! A full itinerary will be revealed closer to race day, but here's everything you need to know about the event so far.
Introduce yourself and win some prizes!
The Onewheel community is a friendly and diverse one and we want to get to know everyone who is participating in this fun off-road race.
If you post a short video on your social media telling us who you are, why you love the Onewheel and what you're doing to prepare for the Trail Racing Championship, you could win some fun prizes. All you have to do is tag #benbucklerboards in your post and you're in! The best video wins!
Watch the video below to see the "extreme" preparation Ben is doing for the race and to find out more about the competition.
Location
The event will be held over two days (Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of August) at Dondingalong Circuit, corner of Gowings Hill Rd and Circuit Lane, roughly 13km south west of Kempsey.
Camping
Camping is available for an additional $20 added on top of your race entry ticket. Camping for guests (those who are not racing) will need to purchase a guest camping ticket for $10 per person.
Camping includes 1 x tent site, toilets and showers onsite. Bringing your own Tent / RV / Caravan, food and beverages + fresh drinking water is advised. Power is available to recharge your boards but not available for camp site, generators are welcome but must be turned off after 10pm.
The Events
Two days of racing and micro events!
Provided there are plenty of competitors from each state, the Saturday will be dedicated to track warm up and free rides with the opening round of the state competitions in the afternoon. In other words, you'll be competing against others from your state.
Sunday will be finals of the state rounds in the morning and the winners will come together for the national finals.
In between these rounds and during track set up there will be a variety of micro events such as mob runs, bonk challenges, skills park and freestyle, drag racing, relays etc. There will be enough going on to keep most people riding and involved regardless of how good they are at racing.
The Tickets
For all the ticket options and pricing head over to bonkersracing.com.au. We are so excited to see all our friends from Sydney and even more excited to meet members of the eskate community from inter-state! We'll see you there!
