The electric-assist surfboard is easy to maintain. Here are a few recommendations for maintenance:
When not in use, keep your board and battery in your board-bag (avoid heat, and don't leave the board and battery in the sun).
Rinse the entire board in clear (unsalted) water after each session. Rinse the propeller and connector specifically when they are still connected.
Before disconnecting the battery connector, make sure it is completely dry (water must not get inside the connector, especially salt water).
2 years Warranty
I’m a 75 year young very long time surfer with shoulder issues.
I’ve had this board for a couple of months but only on small beach breaks which was fine to get the feel of it, it is definitely a different feel with the extra weight in the tail, but you get used to it after a few sessions.
At first I thought the 9 kgs weight would be a problem, although an issue for me out of the water (dodgy shoulders) once in the water it wasn’t a big drama.
Paddling out is when it really comes into its own, it’s fine in beach breaks but when I finally had good waves on a long RH point where you can skirt the white water you can just lay there and take in the view, and save energy.
Now the clincher, when I finally had some decent waves it really surprised me, once you’re up it makes sections and carves on the face.
My thoughts, this is not a true beginners board because you still need to know where to sit and which waves to catch, but if you want to extend your surfing life, this is the answer.
