The story of Serial1 began within the hallowed halls of Harley-Davidson, a name synonymous with two-wheeled freedom and adventure. Inspired by Harley-Davidson’s founders and their first motorcycle—lovingly known as "Serial Number One"—a dedicated team of motorcycle and bicycle enthusiasts embarked on a mission in 2018 to revolutionize the eBicycle market.
This small, passionate group worked out of Harley-Davidson’s Product Development Center, focusing on creating the most advanced, capable eBikes available. Their goal was to design bicycles that would offer the same spirit of adventure and innovation that Harley-Davidson motorcycles are known for.
An Independent Spirit
In 2020, the decision was made to spin off this project into an independent brand, and thus, Serial1 was born. This move allowed the team to harness the rich legacy of Harley-Davidson’s engineering prowess while enjoying the agility and focus of a standalone entity. Serial1 quickly positioned itself at the intersection of tradition and innovation, dedicated exclusively to the eBicycle segment.
