The Super73 S2-E is a high performance street legal electric bike that does not require a license or registration. Designed for the urban adventurer, the agile S2-E is a sport-cruiser style motorbike built with an aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame and a fully adjustable air spring suspension fork. The S2-E also features Super73's all-new connected electronics suite that is compatible with iOS and Android mobile devices through the new Super73 App.
Note on product images: Pictured is a US-spec model. The EU model is equipped with 8-speed gearing, front and rear lights, comes without throttle and chain-guard.
All European spec Super73's (sold in Europe and Australia) are natively classified as bicycles, meaning there's no need for a special license to ride them and they don't need to be registered as road vehicles. Just make sure to keep it in road-legal mode when you're riding in public.

There are a few subtle differences, mainly because in Australia we follow the ebike laws in Europe, so Super73 have had to customise the bike and independently test for our country. Read more about the comparison here.
For those who want to use their S2-E on private property, Super73 will be releasing an Off Road Package which is an accessory that can be added to your bike before or after receiving your bike. Purchased 2 weeks ago, have done 200kms so far commuting to work and back. It's a 26km round trip with a few of small hills and I think I could just get 3 days out of the battery if I went easy on the throttle. Handles the rain fine, I've been riding it for 40 minutes at a time through heavy rain and puddles and haven't had any electrical or mechanical issues. The motor will cut out for a few seconds if you jump off a curb too aggressively but it's come back on within 5 seconds the two times it's happened to me. The seat was very uncomfortable if you spent too much time sitting down, I solved this problem by just standing up while waiting at traffic lights and that totally eliminated the pain. It could definitely do with some rear suspension, so if you're cashed up I'd recommend spending the extra $1600~ on the RX-E. All the components work well, the forks were a bit annoying to get air into but it worked out fine. I've managed to hit 51kph (on private property of course) with a full battery.
The rear cassette means if the battery dies you can actually peddle the bike without assist, you just won't go very fast.
I would definitely recommend the bike, but if I were to spend the money again I'd spend the extra and get an RX-E.

Having saved up for a few months, I finally got delivery of the S2-E and have been for my first few rides. The bike is great fun and provides the perfect antidote from other, maybe more mundane-looking, traditional e-bikes. On one of my first trips, I had a comment 'that looks heavy'. Which it is. But the bike has ample power and zips along. Looking forward to trying it on the sand. Only accessories so far have been a bell for pedestrians and a mirror. Only 'problem' so far I've found is sometimes I feel like I'm slipping off the back of the bike seat and have to keep shifting forward. Also, when people Google Super73 it comes up with electric motorbike which gets some people in a tiz.
